What's This?????
In the summer of 2005 - founder, creator and designer of U1 Brands - Michael Tull, wore a simple white t-shirt with four black letters on it. The letters were U G L Y. These four letters, seen by many as extremely negative, being worn by Tull, a professional model and personal trainer, got many reactions.
"But you're not ugly!" was the usual one. The reply was always "Yeah, I am" followed by an explanation of the positive meaning behind the letters. To be able to wear such a perceived negative word. . .you've got to love yourself first. (UGottaLuvYourself1rst)
Tull created that first UGLY1 t-shirt to demonstrate how a negative perception can be just that, a perception. What you think is, isn't.
