Welcome to the Strasburg Shoppes!
Visiting Strasburg is like visiting another era, during a time when you could stroll quaint towns with tree-lined streets and brick-paved sidewalks, where attention to detail was maintained in the architecture of homes and businesses and when people took the time to acknowledge others with a nod or tip-of-a-hat as they passed by. The clip-clop of horses was heard on the streets, the whistle of a steam-engine pierced the air as it passed by, and agricultural views went on for uninterrupted miles. And each of these quaint towns had a town center, where folks gathered to shop or do banking, to visit, to gossip and to while away a pleasant hour or two of their day. That presence is alive and well on Center Square in Strasburg, and the Strasburg Shoppes is right in the heart of it.
Strasburg Country Store & Creamery
Prominent on the square is Strasburg Country Store & Creamery. Over 287 different flavors of rich ice cream made here on the property draw locals and travelers alike to the ice cream parlor decor and atmosphere with its antique soda fountain. Or, step over to the deli to order a freshly made, piled high sandwich, served with chips and a pickle spear. Add a cup of soup, beverage, and a scoop of ice cream, and you've got a complete meal!
