School's Out for Summer!
It's hard to believe that school is out for Summer! This week sees students throwing their books and pencils in the air and trading them in for fireflys, pool parties and exploring Lancaster and Lancaster County!
If your children are anything like the ones in the 360Lancaster family, then you know by week two the dreaded "I'm booooooored" words are starting to be spoken. Don't fret -- there are lots of things to do this Summer to keep the kids active, entertained and engaged.
Treat your munchkins to an end-of-year outing to see Shrek: The Musical at Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre. This kid-friendly show will have you singing along and cheering for Shrek and his side-kick Donkey to save Fiona from a lifetime of lonliness. There is some wonderfully creative adult humor woven through the show, and the cast is amazing. Hurry, though! The show runs through June 21. Buy tickets online today.
What's a Summer without a trip to Dutch Wonderland? New this year is Exploration Island! Over 20 dinosaurs (and their families) have made Exploration Island at Dutch Wonderland their new home! Exploration Island will offer guests of all ages an encounter with lifelike dinosaurs in their natural, lush habitat. Visit the dinos and learn about their habits, history and family life through story boards and fact panels. Dig up the past at Dino Dig where history is uncovered every day then take a ride on the newly relocated and lengthened Turnpike ride.
Summer rain putting a damper on your plans? Don't let the rain keep you home! There are plenty of rainy day activities in Lancaster including Jen's Pottery Den, Cleaview Lanes, Laserdome, Castle Roller Skating, Lancaster Science Factory and more! Check out our Attractions listings on 360Lancaster for more ideas.
So when those kidlets of your start complaining that they are booooooored, just head out and explore Lancaster County!
